Servane Baufumé

International affairs and global political agenda

Servane is a science-policy expert supporting PREZODE’s engagement with international affairs and global political agendas, bridging the worlds of science and international policy.

Since 2024, she has been a Science-Policy Officer at CIRAD, specializing in biodiversity and One Health within the CISPo unit (Scientific Knowledge Brokerage and Support to International Science-Policy Interfaces). CISPo leverages CIRAD’s expertise at the nexus of agriculture, biodiversity, climate and health, ensuring that research meaningfully informs global policy — by tracking political dynamics and multilateral frameworks such as the UNFCCC, CBD and UNCCD COPs, the FAO International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture, and the WHO Pandemic Agreement.

Before moving into science-policy, Servane built her career as a scientist in molecular plant-microbe interactions, then as a Project and Business Development Manager focused on biology, genomics, breeding and biotechnology at CIRAD.
