The next General Assembly will be held in a hybrid format, online and in person in Paris. Is your organization a member of PREZODE? Save 4th of December 2026 in your calendar and join us to help shape PREZODE’s next chapter!
As PREZODE enters its next stage, members have an important opportunity to turn shared priorities into stronger prevention action, partnerships and access to resources. The 2026 needs assessment, followed by the secretariat 2026–2030 roadmap and its Year 1 action plan, showed that PREZODE’s way of working must now match this maturity. To ensure the success of the event, members are encouraged to participate.
If not done already, you must identify the person who will represent your institution or country.
On the agenda
- Review of the Terms of Reference of the governance.
The current Terms of Reference were adopted in 2022, when PREZODE was still taking shape. Experience since then shows that some bodies need to be adjusted and that some working practices need a formal basis. The revision aims to give the initiative clear, functional governance suited to its current size and future direction, in line with the Secretariat’s 2026–2030 roadmap.
- Charter of Engagement and Collaboration.
PREZODE’s strength lies in its members, yet what they contribute and what they gain need to be clarified. The Charter aims to make these commitments clear and shared, so that membership is active, visible and mutually beneficial.
- Sustainability: PREZODE’s future business model.
Since 2021, the Secretariat has relied largely on the financial and in-kind support of the co-founding institutions (CIRAD, INRAE and IRD), which was never meant to be permanent. To meet growing expectations, PREZODE needs predictable and diversified resources that recognize all forms of contribution, financial and in-kind, and remain fair to members with different means. Discussion will explore a sustainable way forward that reflects members’ different capacities and contributions.
The Secretariat will also present the report for the past year and priority areas of the coming year. The General Assembly is an opportunity to reflect on progress and priorities together.
Except for the report, all working documents will be shared with members at least two weeks before the General Assembly, by 20 November 2026. Members are encouraged to review them in advance and come ready to contribute to the discussions.
