On 5 December 2023, during the 28th Conference of the Parties on Climate Change held in Dubai, PREZODE and Unitaid, in partnership with the Global Fund, co-organized a roundtable to emphasize the key role of community engagement in preventing health and climate change risks. The 2nd General Assembly of PREZODE (PREventing ZOonotic Disease Emergence) took place on 16th November 2023. It presented the achievements of the initiative, the partnerships with International Organisations, and informed about the implementation of the governance bodies and chairs.

On 20 September 2023. Ahead of the High-Level Meeting on the UN General Assembly Political Declaration on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response, a high-level side event organized by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, PREZODE, and civil society organizations. The aim was to build on the intentions of the political declaration, discuss what it will take to transform promises into action, and what governments will need to successfully prevent future pandemics. The participants stated that “The Political Declaration on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response must deliver on the promise of working together to prevent another Pandemic”.
