Researcher at the Ministry of Science in Spain
Marta Martínez Aviles is a researcher (Científico Titular) at the Ministry of Science in Spain, working in the Epidemiology and Environmental Health Group at the National Research Centre on Animal Health (CISA-INIA, CSIC), within the Department of Emerging Diseases and Global Health. She has also been an advisor to the WOAH Southeast Regional Representation since 2022.
She holds a doctorate in veterinary sciences (animal health) from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, graduating cum laude. She also holds a Master of Science in Veterinary Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and the Royal Veterinary College.
Marta is a member of the Region’s College of the Steering Committee, representing Europe.
