Researcher in Qualitative Epidemiology & Health Systems Management — AfriCam Senegal Coordinator
Jean-Hugues Caffin is a researcher at CIRAD (ASTRE research unit), based in Dakar, Senegal, where he has been coordinating the AfriCam project in Senegal since November 2022. He holds a PhD in Management Sciences, with a specialisation in health systems management in Africa, and works on the development of integrated surveillance systems for the early detection of zoonotic diseases within a One Health framework.
As part of AfriCam — the first multi-country project under the PREACTS initiative, funded by AFD — he also leads “Science, Society, Policy” dialogue activities in the Saint-Louis and Kedougou regions. He serves as the PREZODE focal point for West Africa.
