Asma Saidouni

Infectious disease epidemiologist

Asma Saidouni isan infectious disease epidemiologist with core training in veterinary medicine and a wide range of experience in both developed and low-income countries over the last 10 years. She has dedicated her career to confronting cross-border infectious disease threats and emerging zoonoses. With a versatile blend of training and experience in outbreak investigation, surveillance, capacity building, and risk assessment, developing information system tools, and indicators to evaluate and monitor the impact of prevention and control strategies against infectious diseases. Her work experience has spanned during health crises. She completed professional capabilities with the Humanitarian Assistance Intensive Course at Harvard University.

Asma works as a One Health Technical Officer at the World Health Organization regional representation in Tripoli, Libya. She is a member of the International Organizations College of the Steering Committee.
