I’ve been with Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Kasetsart University since 2008, working in the Department of Veterinary Public Health. I have 15 years of experience in tropical infectious diseases epidemiology, focusing on the development of adapted animal and zoonotic diseases surveillance and control in Thailand and Southeast Asia countries, particularly on emerging infectious disease risks such as African swine fever, African Horse sickness, Lumpy skin disease and Rabies. I am an expert trainer in participatory approaches to community-based health systems. My primary area of expertise is in the design of participatory approach in health surveillance and control, such as integrated One Health surveillance, animal health risks, livestock value chain and participatory epidemiology. I worked as an expert for Department of Livestock Development and FAO on the development of field surveys and participatory epidemiology training courses. Because of my participation in One Health projects, I have a good understanding of Thailand and Asian health policies and developments, health risks, and challenges at the interface between animals, humans, and their various environments.
