The benefits of being part of PREZODE Ensuring livelihoods for local communities is one of PREZODE's major goal. Building of the United Nations headquarters (Palais des Nations) in Geneva. PREZOZE aims at influencing global health policies and maximizing the ability to address global issues at the highest international level. PREZODE champions a transformative paradigm shift through a distinctive methodology anchored in a scientifically co-designed framework. The initiative is fostering a dynamic science-society-policy dialogue and is actively involving a diverse global community of stakeholders. Membership in PREZODE is impact-driven: Collaborating for the prevention of zoonotic emergence Ensuring prevention effectiveness through science-society-policy dialogues, bottom-up approaches, and collaborative surveillance with people at the front line of risk who can promptly detect and report unusual sanitary events. Collaborating on international research projects, leveraging shared expertise and resources to tackle complex challenges. Improving public health thanks to early detection and prevention of zoonotic disease outbreaks, reducing the risk of global pandemics. Participating in a co-construction process based on science and One Health approaches Implementing the One Health concept to optimize resource utilization and serve as a fundamental pillar of global health security. Using an engaging multidisciplinary approach, it addresses the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. Promoting a co-construction process that involves stakeholders at all levels, from local communities and health professionals to researchers, field operators, and decision-makers. The initiative was co-designed with all its members to enhance commitment and relevance. Embracing a scientific framework, the PREZODE Strategic Agenda, which outlines research knowledge gaps, targeted operational activities, and an impact pathway. Enhancing international scientific mobilization by establishing a database to share field-based innovations and knowledge. Engaging members around shared values to ensure the adoption of research initiatives aimed at understanding overarching processes and drivers leading to the emergence of zoonoses amidst global changes (biodiversity, climate, ecosystem balances, etc.). Promoting inclusive and ethical practices that integrate local and indigenous knowledge into global strategies, ensuring culturally appropriate and effective interventions, responsible use of natural resources, and protection of biodiversity. Contributing to worldwide mobilization on health and sustainable development goals Fostering collaboration with international organizations through high-level working groups and a community of practices around key scientific postulates and showcasing contributions to global health. Influencing global health policies and maximizing the ability to address global issues at the highest international level, including COP, G7, G20, and UN summits. Contribute to the achievements of the Sustainable Development Goals, especially in the fields of health, food security, protection of all ecosystems –both on land and underwater- and ensuring livelihoods for local communities.
