Agri-Health nexus: Cultivating sustainable futures for people, planet and biodiversity
Thursday November 13th, 4-5 PM local time (Bélem)
This COP30 side event, organized by the PREZODE Initiative, will address the Agri-Health nexus as a foundation of the One Health approach. It will explore how sustainable agricultural practices can enhance human, animal, and ecosystem health while mitigating climate and pandemic risks.
Through high-level exchanges with representatives from PREZODE, WHO/PAHO, ILRI, the World Bank, and other key partners, the event will highlight policy, scientific, and financial pathways to foster integrated, preventive, and resilient food systems worldwide.
By rethinking agriculture as a driver of prevention and sustainability, the session will showcase innovative solutions and cross-sector collaborations that link food production, biodiversity protection, and global health resilience.
