Research Director, Biostatistician
Vladimir Grosbois is a biostatistician at Cirad, based in Harare, Zimbabwe, within the ASTRE research unit, of which he serves as Deputy Head. His work focuses on developing and applying quantitative methods for epidemiological analysis and the evaluation of health surveillance systems within a One Health framework. He develops advanced statistical models — including social network analysis, spatio-temporal modelling and Bayesian inference — to understand pathogen transmission in multi-host systems involving wildlife, livestock and humans. His research covers vector-borne diseases (bluetongue, Schmallenberg, CCHF) and zoonoses in southern Africa and Europe.
