A dedicated booth will welcome our members, partners, and visitors.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Held in Lisbon, Portugal, from September 4\u20137, 2026, <a href=\"https:\/\/globalohc.org\/9WOHC\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/globalohc.org\/9WOHC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the World One Health Congress<\/a> brings together experts from around the world working on One Health science and policy. The four-day program includes parallel tracks on One Health science, antimicrobial agents and resistance, and the science-policy interface, among other topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This flagship event for the One Health community gives PREZODE the opportunity to meet with its partners and experts and to co-organize two major sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From Response to Prevention: Financing and Partnerships for Sustainable One Health Impact<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Co-organized with the World Bank Group<\/strong><br><strong>September 5 &#8211; 12:45 &#8211; 13:45 &#8211; Auditorium I<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Co-chaired by <strong>Andre Carlet<\/strong>to, Senior Economist at the World Bank Group, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/prezode-initiative.org\/en\/member\/epidemiologist-and-deputy-director-of-the-integrated-health-research-unit-cirad\/\">Dr. Marisa Peyre, <\/a><\/strong>epidemiologist and co-founder of PREZODE, this <a href=\"https:\/\/globalohc.org\/minisite\/9WOHC\/program#sat-5-sep-2026\">parallel session<\/a> will bring together political leaders, regional institutions, scientists, and financing partners. Case studies from Senegal, Vietnam, and global One Health initiatives will illustrate how such platforms support prevention strategies across diverse contexts. These examples will highlight enabling environments, governance arrangements, community engagement, evidence-informed decision-making, and coordination of financing for prevention. Before taking on that role and since the start of the Pandemic, Nina\u00a0and the FOUR PAWS team led advocacy efforts, supporting member states in anchoring actionable provisions on prevention and One Health in collaboration with a broad coalition of animal welfare and conservation NGOs and experts. <br>Between 2013 and 2021, Nina\u00a0led the International Campaigns on Farm Animals\u00a0and\u00a0Nutrition at FOUR PAWS. Her doctoral and postdoctoral research focused on the influence of religion on gender relations in the informal sector, on intergenerational relations, and on health-related practices. She holds a 23 year-experience in managing and coordinating international cooperation programmes and ODA-funded projects in the fields of environment, agriculture and One Health. Her current responsibilities include coordinating multi-sectoral cooperation among government agencies, international organizations, development partners and other stakeholders to advance the One a<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Vice Chancellor, Dean, and Professor of Microbiology and Public Health of CVASU, and Senior Technical Advisor for One Health and Veterinary Education in FAO.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over the past few years, Dr. Debnath has been working with the Fleming Fund Country Grant to Bangladesh DAI Global as Team href=\"https:\/\/www.onehealthpoultry.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">One Health Poultry Hub<\/a>, a former member of the governing board of the International Association For Ecology and Health (IAEH) and Council on International Veterinary Medical Education (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aavmc.org\/programs\/civme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CIVME<\/a>), former President of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/bvc.gov.bd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bangladesh Veterinary Council<\/a>&nbsp;(BVC) and former alternate member of the governing board of Pandemic Fund as class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Nitish Debnath holds a degree of DVM from the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bau.edu.bd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bangladesh Agricultural University<\/a>, an MSc in Tropical Veterinary Medicine from the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ed.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Edinburgh<\/a>, and a Ph.D. in Virology from the&nbsp;<a Weber-Vintzel is a Senior Livestock Specialist at the World Bank Group, where she provides technical support on sustainable livestock and One Health-related analytics and operations. He currently manages projects related to One Health, pandemics, HIV, and TB, coordinates the Activists Coalition on TB \u2013 Asia-Pacific (ACT! AP), and serves as the monitoring and evaluation focal point for APCASO.
