PREZODE is co-organising diverse events in the framework of the 2026 One Health Summit that will be held in Lyon, France, in April 2026.\u00a0 Across nine events, PREZODE and its partners will showcase concrete, regionally grounded actions that connect science, policy and communities to reduce the risk of zoonotic emergence, strengthen surveillance systems and support sustainable food systems<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PREZODE\u2019s engagement at the One Health Summit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As an international initiative dedicated on prevention of zoonotic disease emergence, PREZODE is completely aligned with the One Health approach, proposing co-designed, evidence-based solutions to protect human, animal and environmental health. In the framework of the One Health Summit, PREZODE focuses on operationalising One Health across sectors and regions. Thought PREACTS programme in the Global South<\/a>, and a range of local projects, PREZODE highlights its bottom-up approach, creating community participation, science-policy dialogue and capacity building as essential pillars of effective One Health implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nine events co-organised by PREZODE in 2026:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ASEACA\/COHESA Regional workshop “Codesigning a regional One Health network”<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Date: 24-26 March, Harare<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the final year of the COHESA<\/a> project and the onset of ASEACA<\/a> project, a workshop bringing together stakeholders from 12 Eastern and Southern African countries, alongside representatives of the Quadripartite, Africa CDC, the African Union, the European Union and the World Bank will be convened in Harare on the 23-27th of March 2026. Building on a participatory process initiated in Cape Town in September 2024, the workshop will continue the co design of a future regional One Health network that will continue the COHESA network legacy in promoting OH governance, training the future OH workforce and operationalising OH on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launching ASEACA Philippines: Prevention and One Health Early Warning<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Date: 26-27 March, Manilla<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This One Health Festival edition will officially launch ASEACA<\/a> Philippines, the country component of PREACTS dedicated on prevention and early warning at the human, animal, environment interface. Organised in Manila by SEARCA with CIRAD and ILRI as co\u2011leads and supported by the French Embassy in the Philippines, the event will bring together national and local stakeholders to present the programme\u2019s objectives, governance and implementation roadmap, consolidate priorities identified in Pampanga and Bukidnon validation meetings, where the ASEACA will be implemented, into a national Theory of Change and agree on coordination mechanisms, technical working groups and a 2026\u20132027 workplan, with a specific focus on community\u2011based One Health surveillance and ethical data governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mapping Community-Led One Health Interventions for Prevention and Early Warning<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Date: 31 March, Bangkok<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organised in Bangkok in March by APCASO in collaboration with CIRAD under the ASEACA project, this workshop seeks to strengthen engagement with civil society organizations (CSOs) and community partners across the 16 APCASO partner countries by systematically mapping ongoing and planned One Health activities. This process will support the development of evidence-based and strategic intervention recommendations. Through a combination of preparatory virtual work, a one\u2011day in\u2011person strategic workshop and follow\u2011up webinars, participants will identify ongoing and planned activities, priority intervention areas and opportunities for alignment, in order to formulate coordinated, evidence\u2011informed recommendations for disease prevention and One Health interventions aligned with national priorities, including for Global Fund GC8 proposals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ASEACA Viet Nam Launch: Strengthening One Health Governance and Science\u2013Policy Dialogue<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Date: 17th<\/sup>-18th<\/sup> March, Hanoi<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This One Health Festival event will also launch ASEACA<\/a> Vietnam, the country component of PREACTS, with a strong focus on One Health governance and science\u2013policy dialogue. Led by the Viet Nam One Health Partnership with CIRAD as co\u2011lead and supported by the French Embassy, the event will convene national and provincial stakeholders to present project objectives, governance and implementation roadmap, consolidate priorities from Thai Nguyen and Dong Thap into a shared national Theory of Change, and establish coordination modalities and an indicative 2026\u20132027 workplan, while initiating a structured reflection on research\u2011to\u2011policy mechanisms to support timely uptake of ASEACA outputs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One Health for Cambodia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Date: 2nd<\/sup> April, Phnom Penh<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inter\u2011ministerial coordination committee on One Health (IMCC\u2011OH) in Cambodia is proposing a side event to explore key One Health challenges and opportunities in the country. Introductory remarks will be delivered by the French Ambassador and the Ministers of Health, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and Environment. The event will comprise three thematic sessions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
