{"id":6181,"date":"2026-03-30T11:58:42","date_gmt":"2026-03-30T09:58:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prezode-initiative.org\/?page_id=6181"},"modified":"2026-03-30T11:58:43","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T09:58:43","slug":"the-prezode-international-platform","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/prezode-initiative.org\/en\/the-prezode-international-platform\/","title":{"rendered":"The PREZODE International Platform"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Global Information System for One Health Prevention<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CONTEXT<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite numerous initiatives, efforts to prevent zoonotic emerging diseases, thus pandemics, remain fragmented, with data and knowledge often siloed by sector, discipline, or geography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>OUR VISION<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To design and co-develop\u00a0<strong>an open, modular, and interoperable digital platform<\/strong>\u00a0that connects data, projects, and people to strengthen global zoonotic disease prevention.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To build a\u00a0<strong>shared, inclusive, and co-constructed digital ecosystem<\/strong>\u00a0connecting science, society, and policy\u00a0<strong>for effective and sustainable prevention<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To make early prevention\u00a0<strong>a shared, operational, and measurable reality<\/strong>, supporting global collaboration under the\u00a0<strong>One Health<\/strong>\u00a0approach.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ABOUT THE PLATFORM<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Platform is being developed as a&nbsp;<strong>global, modular, open-access digital infrastructure<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>and information system<\/strong> designed to connect projects, actors, and data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It brings together scientists, institutions, decision-makers, and communities to&nbsp;<strong>transform scattered initiatives into a coherent, interoperable, and ethical system<\/strong>&nbsp;for prevention and preparedness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A MODULAR ARCHITECTURE<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>MODULE 1 &#8211; GLOBAL PREVENTION CARTOGRAPHY: <\/strong>Designed as a global information system, this module identifies and displays metadata on zoonotic disease prevention projects, providing a dynamic global cartography of prevention efforts. It allows users to locate research teams, visualise their interconnections, and explore thematic or geographical clusters. By improving visibility and reducing duplication of efforts, it fosters collaboration, promotes synergies, and supports rapid networking in the event of a new health emergency.<br>The module will offer advanced search features and interactive visualizations, such as maps, graphs, and dashboards, to illustrate the relationships between initiatives.<br><strong>Main users:<\/strong>\u00a0researchers, public institutions, universities, research centres, and strategic partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>MODULE 2 &#8211; SCIENCE\u2013SOCIETY LIAISON TOOL:\u00a0<\/strong>This module provides a collaborative interface that connects communities, scientists, and stakeholders to co-design prevention projects and align science with local and global needs. It enables direct dialogue between local actors and researchers, ensuring that scientific work is relevant, applicable, and responsive to on-the-ground realities. The tool helps identify and match local needs with available expertise, supports cross-sectoral exchanges, and monitors project outcomes. Its multilingual and culturally adaptive design ensures worldwide inclusivity and accessibility.\u00a0\u00a0<br><strong>Main users:<\/strong>\u00a0research institutions, civil society organisations, local authorities, and private and public sector actors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>MODULE 3 &#8211; DATA INTEGRATION AND ANALYSIS:\u00a0<\/strong>This module is being developed as a data integration and analysis environment. It will enable the harmonisation, aggregation, and visualisation of multi-source data \u2014 including official institutional data, open-source signals, research datasets, and contextual variables such as environmental or socio-economic indicators. Rather than duplicating existing surveillance systems, the module will complement them by enhancing accessibility, interoperability, and analytical value. It will help detect\u00a0<em>weak signals<\/em>, analyse long-term trends, and support evidence-based decision-making for early prevention.<br><strong>Main users:<\/strong>\u00a0public authorities, researchers and technical communities, international organisations involved in prevention and preparedness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CURRENT STAGE AND EXPECTED OUTCOMES<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is entering its&nbsp;<strong>first implementation phase<\/strong>, marked by the&nbsp;<strong>launch of the tendering process<\/strong>&nbsp;for the technical development&nbsp;<strong>of a functional prototype, for:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A tested and validated prototype connecting prevention initiatives across regions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A dynamic community of users co-designing and shaping the platform\u2019s evolution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved visibility, accessibility, and reusability of prevention data and knowledge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recognition of the Platform as a\u00a0<strong>global digital public good<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>and information system<\/strong> supporting the One Health approach.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthened collective capacity to anticipate and prevent future zoonotic crises.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>JOIN US<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Take part in this collective effort!
